Group Programs

The Bondi Psychology Clinic's structured group programs offer clients a chance to spend focused time learning skills to improve their mind health and well-being. Group learning can provide an invaluable adjunct to individual therapy. It offers the opportunity to focus on skills and learn about the successes and difficulties faced by other individuals. The Bondi Psychology Clinic offers a range of group programs which can be tailored to the needs of an organisation or educational institution.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills

 

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills help people to manage highly painful and distressing emotions more skilfully in their daily lives. We offer four DBT skills group modules.

  1. Emotion Regulation helps people to identify and cope with difficult emotions.
  2. Distress Tolerance teaches people to deal with their most painful emotions without self-destructive actions.
  3. Relationship Skills improves confidence and communication in important relationships.
  4. Mindfulness increases clarity, awareness and coping by teaching people to focus on their present moment experiences.
 


Mindfulness Meditation

Tuesdays @ 6.30 - 7.30pm

 

Our Mindfulness Meditation Program is a small boutique group for 5-6 people. The group teaches participants to integrate mindfulness skills and practice into their daily lives to help to improve their mood, anxiety, emotion regulation, self-awareness, general clarity and calm. Each 5-week module will focus on introducing and deepening our understanding of mindfulness with a focus on a particular topic. Sessions have a meditation practice and a discussion component.
