Ben Caunt
Clinical Psychologist, Director & Board Approved Supervisor
Ben opened the Bondi Psychology Clinic in 2013. He is passionate about his work and devoted to providing an approachable and flexible therapy experience. Ben offers short and long-term therapy, tailoring treatments to meet peoples' personal goals and needs. He specialises in providing behavioural and mindfulness-based therapies for adults, young adults, adolescents and families. Along with his masters degree in Clinical Psychology, Ben has completed training in a number of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Schema Therapy (see Treatment Approaches). He has also designed and implemented a range of group mental health programs, and provides Clinical Supervision to other psychologists.
Ben is a certified yoga teacher and he has published research on understanding the causes of long-term happiness. He draws on his knowledge of psychology and mindfulness to help clients understand their strengths, improve self-awareness and increase their sense of fulfilment.
Clinical Experience
Ben worked for four years at the Prince of Wales Hospital Adolescent Service providing outpatient psychological interventions for adolescents and their families. Alongside this individual therapy work, Ben took a special interest in groups reviewing and rewriting the Adolescent Service's Dialectical Behaviour Therapy group program, developing a mindfulness group, and designing an adolescent parenting program.
During the five years Ben worked at Headspace Camperdown, he provided treatments for adolescents and young adults experiencing a range of mental health, social and drug & alcohol related difficulties. Ben designed the Headspace Well-Being group program, running the group for two years before training staff to continue the program when he departed to expand the Bondi Psychology Clinic.

Ben loves surfing, body surfing and anything to do with the ocean. He dabbles in singing and song writing, and enjoys his daily meditation. He is a loving partner and parent who values quality time with family and friends. Ben seeks to deepen his relationships, cultivate self-awareness, and live his life with a sense of purpose and fun. Emily Constantine
Senior Psychologist & Board Approved Supervisor
Emily is a warm, collaborative and authentic psychologist. She brings over 15 years of clinical practice to her therapy. Emily is guided by a commitment to helping her clients create meaningful change in their lives. Her approach is grounded and practical, with a focus on making therapy a safe space where clients feel heard and empowered. Emily believes therapy should be a deeply human process - one that blends evidence-based strategies with empathy, clarity and creativity.
Emily works with adults across the lifespan and has a particular interest in supporting both young adults (ages 16–25) and older adults (65+). She is LGBTQIA+ affirming in her practice and welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds. Emily tailors her therapeutic work to suit individual needs. She is skilled at supporting clients who benefit from a structured and skills-based approach, as well as those who prefer a more reflective and exploratory therapy experience. She draws on a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) for bipolar disorders, and Motivational Interviewing. She also integrates approaches from mindfulness, narrative therapy, emotion-focused work, and supportive counselling.
Clinical Experience
Emily has extensive experience across a range of clinical, organisational and community settings. She has worked in private practice for over 15 years, providing treatment for clients with a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, from everyday stress and adjustment issues to more complex and persistent psychiatric conditions. Her clinical experience includes working with depression, anxiety conditions (including panic, social anxiety, OCD and generalised anxiety), bipolar disorder, complex and developmental trauma, psychosis, low self-esteem, and stress-related issues. She also works with clients navigating major life transitions, grief and caregiving roles.
Emily’s professional background also includes occupational rehabilitation, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), as well as working in residential aged care and conducting psychological assessments for workplace injuries. Emily has experience in psychology education, having worked as a teacher at the College of Professional Psychology for several years. She is a Board Approved Supervisor who provides clinical supervision to early career and provisionally registered psychologists. This broad and varied experience informs her flexible, integrative approach to therapy and deepens her understanding of the many contexts in which psychological wellbeing can be supported or challenged.

Personal
Emily enjoys living in the vibrant community of the inner west. She is a competitive rower and braces the early rises and winter cold to enjoy sunrise over the water several times a week. She deeply values the sense of community that comes with the sport and is a believer in finding your people and discovering strength outside of your comfort zone. Emily has spent several years training with a fight director, has worked as a videographer, and has been studying the Irish language for almost 10 years. A self-confessed “do-er”, at home she enjoys making with her hands and is keen on knitting, sewing and gluten-free baking.
Michaela Joseph
Registrar Clinical Psychologist
Michaela is a warm and enthusiastic psychologist who is dedicated to cultivating a safe and accepting therapy space. She is passionate about collaborating with clients and families to work towards the lives they want to live. Michaela specialises in providing evidence-based therapies for children, adolescents, parents, families, and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns - such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, emotion dysregulation, behavioural difficulties and self-esteem difficulties.
Michaela works from a neurodiverse-affirming and strengths-based framework. She integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to support individuals and families to live in alignment with their values and achieve their therapy goals.
Clinical Experience
Michaela has experience working across public health, university-based, and research settings, using both structured and flexible approaches to therapy. In addition to her role at the Bondi Psychology Clinic, Michaela also works in the Auburn Child and Family Health Team — a multidisciplinary service supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds with evidence-based interventions.
As part of her postgraduate training, Michaela completed two clinical placements at the University of Sydney Psychology Clinic. There, she provided individual therapy to adults experiencing a range of mental health and psychosocial challenges. She also worked using an attachment-based, Family Therapy approach with children and adolescents (ages 5–16) experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Michaela has further experience in a research setting delivering structured, parent-based interventions for families with young children (ages 3–8) presenting with emotional and behavioural challenges. In this role, she worked from an attachment-informed framework to help parents foster secure, responsive relationships with their children.
In a specialist public health clinic for adults with OCD and anxiety-related disorders, Michaela provided individual therapy grounded in cognitive-behavioural principles. She supported clients to identify anxiety triggers and develop practical coping strategies. Michaela also co-facilitated a group anxiety management program for adults experiencing a range of anxiety conditions.

Michaela values being authentic, creative, and curious, and seeks to embody these values in her day to day life. She enjoys connecting with her family and friends through music, food, sports such as basketball, and spontaneous beach trips. She also enjoys reading, playing guitar, drawing, and watching arthouse films.
